Then I Gazed At The Neighborhood
UGH!
MONTOPOLIS
With A View
This house has it all... lake view, huge rooms, wood and marble flooring, stately appearance, off 620, very nice. Sure it's been reduced from
$950k to around $800k and that's a LOT of money I don't even have but along with my trusty real estate magnifico-friend Holland
Wiler I could do an imaginative deal that would put us in it after the new year for a lot less than even the reduced
price perhaps with no money down to boot, thanks to the current market. Good CAN come from bad sometimes and this
is the proof.
I am CONFIDENT of success, not cocky so don't get it
twisted.
I was surfing the internet yesterday looking on www.zillow.com trying to figure my current property's value when I started looking out near Costa Bella on the map. Costa Bella
is the b o m b if you want quality, class and style. Money required. I cannot afford to buy a garage at a
Costa Bella property but I love to dream and who knows, I might get lucky someday. That's me: Ron the optomistic
and effervescent dreamer.
My wife and I drove out to look at this house off 620 and although
inspired by the building we were both aghast at the neighborhood.

Like OH MY GOD!!! Someone would have to buy or burn out the neighbors
to get over this blight (NOT ME). It looked like a junkyard across the street...
It looked like Montopolis with a lake view.
Could I buy this million dollar home and ignore the obvious poverty in
clear view? Would my Rolls Royce Phantom be safe outside (if ever I get one?). Or even my old Corvette?
They might strip it for parts or something. i'd have to build a big fence to keep them out and NOT look at them at the same
time. Hell I can just move back to Northtown if I want to see people parking jalopies on their grass. i don't
need to buy an estate to do bad... i already did that. Been there and done that.
What were the builders thinking putting up a manor next to such filth?
Why didn't they buy them out first? It was like throwing ice water on a hot fire.
The question of the Century me thinks. (12/28/08)
